Gaia-X and the Next Generation of Trusted Data Sharing
At this year’s International Digital Security Forum (IDSF) in Vienna, Gaia-X hosted its own session titled “The Next Generation of Trusted Data Sharing.” The discussion focused on how sovereign digital ecosystems—particularly data spaces—can lay the foundation for a competitive and self-determined digital economy.
Moderated by Roland Fadrany, Chief Operating Officer of Gaia-X AISBL, international experts explored the latest developments in the field of trusted data exchange. Key points included the opportunities and challenges associated with establishing European standards and building interoperable infrastructures.
A central theme of the discussion was the strategic importance of data spaces as enablers of data-driven innovation, artificial intelligence, and cross-sector collaboration. It became clear that fostering trust, security, and sovereignty is essential for thriving in the global digital landscape.
As Gaia-X Hub Austria, we are proud to contribute to the visibility and advancement of these crucial topics and to actively shape the dialogue around digital sovereignty and trustworthy infrastructures.
With contributions from Roland Fadrany, Insuk Kim, and Helmut Leopold.
